Thank you for being here. I am a musician and DJ dwelling in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the greatest country on Earth. I have a bachelor's degree in creative writing from Loyola University Maryland. From 2015-2018, I lived and worked in Prague, Czech Republic.
I'm a dancer. My approaches to DJing are borne from my love of the dance. I chase down long, emotional blends with layers of soulful vocals, and while a DJ Joe Kiss set spans many styles, it will always be firmly rooted in this thing we call House. Riding the raw, hard grooves of wax is the most fun for me because of how physical it is. But I'm working toward expanding my horizons by building out digital depths.
I'm a singer. I believe that the human voice is the most vulnerable and personal instrument. My process around original music-making borders on the obsessive, with all of my vocals sampled, chopped, and moved more times than is within reason, all notes typed out on my laptop keyboard in GarageBand. I look forward to exploring different methods, incorporating hardware into the grand scheme, and continuing to reach for the notes and the stars.
Most recently I have been involved in helping out with Against the Grain, a dance event focused around local Philly rhythmic energies. Started by wiRL and Kwan Maurice Howard in 2025, Against the Grain takes place at Umbria Arts, a collaborative space located within Manayunk Timber, Philadelphia’s only sawmill.
